Abstract

The results showed that the average growth of roots at the age of 4 months was very significant difference between treatments and the best growth was found in burned straw medium (SB), composed burned straw (SBH) and burned straw sand (SBP) with the following average growth of root length 4.33 cm, 3.33 cm and 2.00 cm. Shoot growth showed that the average growth of shoots at the age of 4 months was very significant difference between treatments and the best growth medium was burned straw medium (SB), sekam bakar humus (SBH) dan sekam bakar pasir (SBP) with the following average shoot growth was 3.67 cm, 3.00 cm and 2 cm. The best growth of burnt husks medium due to aeration and water absorption media quite well, when it’s too wet it will dries quickly, when the watering less, it’s easily monitored, and it’s also sterile of fungus and as well as porous for easy root growth and subsequent shoot will also grow.
